From First Flight to a National Legacy

2000

Company Established

Operations started with dry-leased B727-200s
on domestic routes (Tripoli – Benghazi).

2002

Airline’s Expands

Purchased 3 B727-200 and 2 L410s to connect oil fields. Began international flights to Istanbul.

2003-2004

Regional Growth

Added B737-200s, expanded to Labraq, Tobruk, Sebha, and regional routes: Aleppo & Rabat.

2005-2006

Modernization Milestone

Fleet modernization: 2 Boeing 737-800NG acquired. New routes: Alexandria, Cairo, Tunis.

2009

Global Reach

First European route: Sarajevo. Launch of charter services worldwide.

2010-2012

Fleet Independence

Acquired 2 B737-400s and 1 B737-500 to increase fleet independence.

2020

Strategic Transformation

20th anniversary and the birth of Buraq Air 2.0 — strategic transformation phase.
